About Dr. Renee Fogelberg
I’ve spent more than 25 years caring for women as a board-certified OB-GYN, and what continues to inspire me every day is helping women feel informed, supported, and heard in their medical journey.
Over the past decade, I’ve specialized in midlife care as a Menopause Certified Practitioner. I have extensive experience guiding women through this transition with evidence-based, lifestyle and medical strategies. Menopause can bring unexpected changes, and you shouldn’t have to navigate them alone. My goal is to combine science, innovation, and compassion to create personalized care plans.
I also understand how challenging weight changes can be during and after menopause. That’s why I became board-certified in obesity medicine—so I can offer the most up-to-date, thoughtful, and tailored options to support your health.
Education is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I’m working one-on-one with patients or speaking at workshops and retreats, I’m passionate about making complex health information clear, practical, and empowering.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to make sure you feel confident in your choices, supported in your care, and in control of your health.
Types of Care
Care through the continuum of perimenopause, menopause & beyond
One size doesn’t fit all; symptoms of menopause can start in your 30s
Traditionally women didn’t consider talking about or addressing symptoms of menopause until they stopped getting a menstrual cycle. We know a variety of menopausal symptoms can start well before the average age of menopause (51 years). Knowing these symptoms can start as early as in your 30s, we want to have these conversations early on, so preventative measures and personalized care can be adopted in a thoughtful and timely manner.
Hormones and Health
As a certified menopause practitioner, I combine 25+ years of clinical experience with the science of menopausal research and policy making. We will take a thoughtful approach to hormones, non-hormonal therapies and lifestyle interventions based upon your clinical needs. This assessment will be carefully conducted as we review your medical history to support precision medicine – what will precisely address your concerns and ensure an optimal outcome.
Weight and Wellness Management
Weight fluctuations
Your weight can fluctuate with the onset of menopause and beyond despite efforts to maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise. This transition can bring about changes in metabolism, sleep and weight distribution which can be frustrating. Often this can be multifactorial, and we’ll look at all those nuances as well as determine what lifestyle changes and possible medical therapy ( GLP1s, phentermine, and other options) might best suit your needs.
This will involve a detailed assessment of:
Your current diet, exercise and sleep habits.
Existing medications you are taking which may be contributing to some of these changes.
Challenges you have experienced and successes with different approaches.
Where you are in the midlife transition, when was your last menstrual period and what impact that could have.
The Steps in our Personalized Telephonic Coaching Process
Menopause care is highly individualized. Our initial visit is designed to create a thoughtful partnership where we take the time to understand your symptoms, concerns, goals, and overall health.Caregiving is a relationship and we start the process in making that first assessment where we get to know each other. It is a way to look at some of the high-level themes and concerns to better understand what our recommendations might look like and begin that initial planning for the intake appointment.
We start by conducting a thorough assessment of your medical history, assessing any symptoms and concerns you might have and reviewing past or current medications and laboratory values to ascertain what your comprehensive needs might be. This could be a combination of lifestyle management, medical therapy, exercise or nutrition therapy. We will take a multifocal approach to ensure all variables are addressed.
Based upon our initial plan, we will map out timely follow-up to track your progress. It is critical that we support you in every stage of your journey. We use a variety of quantitative and qualitative measures to best ensure you achieve your best outcomes on multiple lifestyle measures.
